KimTiu 2015 Emmy Predictions Part 1: Drama

Supporting Actor

Supporting Actor

  • Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, Better Call Saul
  • Jim Carter as Charles Carson, Downton Abbey
  • Alan Cumming as Eli Gold, The Good Wife
  • Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Game of Thrones
  • Michael Kelly as Doug Stamper, House of Cards
  • Ben Mendelsohn as Danny Rayburn, Bloodline

Sean: “More was revealed about Mike in one episode of Better Call Saul than in the entirety of Breaking Bad, and it was wonderfully bouyed by Jonathan Banks’ stellar performance. Banks is helped by the fact that the episode he submitted – the sixth episode ‘Five-O’ – features him dominating the entire hour as he goes from his usual stoic self to a vengeful father to a remorseful man confessing his sins to his daugther-in-law.”

DON’T MISS:  Westworld - Where the Future meets the West

Should Win: Jonathan Banks

Will Win: Jonathan Banks

Kim: “It’s a coin-toss between Jonathan Banks and Ben Mendelsohn for me. Both say so much with their facial expressions with only the smallest of twitches and ticks. I’d edge the latter just a little bit above though.”

Should Win: Ben Mendelsohn

Will Win: Ben Mendelsohn

Supporting Actress

Game of Thrones, Series 5,Episode 10,Mother's Mercy,Sky Atlantic, Headey, Lena as Cersei Lannister

  • Uzo Aduba as Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren on Orange is the New Black
  • Christine Baranski as Diane Lockhard on The Good Wife
  • Emilia Clarke as Danaerys Targaryen Game of Thrones
  • Joanne Froggatt as Anna Bates Downton Abbey
  • Lena Headey as Cersai Lannister on Game of Thrones
  • Christina Hendricks as Joan Harris on Mad Men

Sean: “Much like her co-stars Jon Hamm and Elisabeth Moss, Christina Hendricks is highly deserving of a win in her category. Apart from it being her sixth consecutive nomination, she delivered some of her best work in this season’s “Lost Horizon.” However, Cersai’s shame walk during the season finale of Game of Thrones is the most impactful moment for the character in the entire show, which dramatically boosts Headey’s chances for a win.”

DON’T MISS:  Our 89th Academy Awards Predictions by #KimTiu!

Should Win: Christina Hendricks

Will Win: Lena Headey

Kim: “If Season 4 was Tyrion’s A-game, then Season 5 was all Cersei Lannister. She’s definitely the frontrunner for this one but I too want Hendricks to win. For me, she was only second to Hamm in the final season of Mad Men.”

Should Win: Christina Hendricks

Will Win: Lena Headey
