Terms of the deal include Dentsu Entertainment holding worldwide broadcast and licensing rights, with Man of Action Entertainment writing, animating, and executive producing the series.

The new TV series is set to air in 2017, to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Mega Man franchise, which was first released in 1987.

Since its debut in December 1987, Capcom’s blue bomber has been featured in multiple games, spawning a video game franchise that was a solid title for Nintendo platforms in the 90’s, side-by-side with other Nintendo hits like Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda. A 27-episode Mega Man TV series aired in the US in 1994, produced by Capcom.
