Supergirl Season Two has its Superman!

Another Teen Wolf alum makes his way to the CW heroverse! And this time, he fills in big boots as Superman for Supergirl’s Season Two on the CW.

Okay, I can sort of see it. Tyler Hoechlin’s got the chops to play Superman I think, and he’s come a long way from Sullivan Jr. on Road to Perdition. I’m most familiar with his run on TV’s 7th Heaven, and a lot of people will recognize him from MTV’s Teen Wolf. He’s also already done small-town jock though, as seen in Everybody Wants Some!! And that was pretty cool. I guess he’s got the Clark Kent part down? As Superman though, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I’ll confess to being a little disappointed that they didn’t get Tom Welling, but I knew early on that was pretty much just wishful thinking.

Hoechlin has been confirmed to guest star for two episodes on Supergirl’s Season Two as Superman, and I’m looking forward to see how this plays out. Season One was okay, though it could use a bit more oomph in my opinion- with the show’s move to Vancouver to keep down prod costs, and the network move to the CW (ALL THE CROSSOVERS PLEASE) Supergirl’s upcoming season could be a good one.
